Tapout XT Overview
Tapout XT is a 90 day workout program that will transform your body. Basically what the program does is take elements from MMA training and incorporate them into this home based workout. The movements and routines you’ll be doing are patterned after the MMA, although this isn’t exactly a self-defense course, but more about getting you in shape.
How Tapout XT Works
Tapout XT works by combining core strength building, strengthening exercises, cardio and plenty of resistance training, and these are in addition to the MMA training and movement that you’ll be using. In addition, the developers of the program have implemented the RIPP element, which makes a huge difference.
It’s been scientifically proven that HIIT (high intensity interval training) maneuvers burns calories faster than other cardio training methods. This principle is carried in RIPP, which stands for rapid fire, interval, precision and power. What this means is you’ll be doing the routines in rapid fire motion and in very intense spurts with short rest periods in between. And as the name implies, precision is necessary to complete the movements and to build strength.
To give you an idea of how intense Tapout XT is, it can burn up to 1,200 calories if followed all the way to the end. This only refers to the calories you’ll burn and doesn’t even include muscles you’ll gain plus the flexibility and increased agility. All throughout the program you’ll be doing a series of elbows, kicks and punches combined with calisthenics, cardio and plyometrics. In addition to these you’ll be performing a whole lot of flexibility exercise routines that will make you stronger and leaner.
The Tapout XT package includes 8 DVDs that will walk you through the workout process and show you how MMA trainer Mike Karpenko has organized the program. The 8 DVDs are arranged in order and based on the body parts that you’ll be working on every day, making it easy to track your progress. There are a total of 12 high intensity workouts you’ll have to complete. The set includes training for muscle improvement, Ultimate Abs XT, Competition Core, Plyo XT for increased athleticism. The DVD set also includes training for improving balance, ripped conditioning, fat burning and Muay Thai, which tells you that this is truly MMA inspired training.
Aside from the workouts, Tapout XT includes a detailed meal and diet plan you should follow for the duration of the 90 day program. A quick look at the meal plans will show that it isn’t as hard to follow as those of other programs, making it easier for you to commit. Unlike other diet plans, the guidelines aren’t going to force you to starve or suffer hunger pangs, a welcome relief from other food plans.
The package also comes with a set of durable resistance bands that you can use during the routines, and you’ll also get some leg bands for the resistance and strength training. These won’t just save you money but time as well since you don’t have to look somewhere else for bands that fit with the routine.
Benefits of Tapout XT
To get the maximum benefit from the program you need to understand and follow the directions to master the core moves. The introductory phase fortunately, makes it easier for you to grasp the fundamentals. However you will only get the benefits from the program if you commit to it. This is really easier said than done because it is one of the hardest workout regimens available today, and it isn’t a magic pill that will transform your body. But if you persevere you will achieve the results you’re looking for.
Another thing going for the Tapout XT is that Mike’s methods are very straightforward and he is personable. Since Mike will be your virtual coach for the next 90 days the way he talks to you and provides the lessons are very important. Fortunately he delivers in this regard and actually makes the workouts more interesting and enjoyable.
Tapout XT also benefits from having all the workouts laid out clearly so you don’t have to spend any time trying to figure out how to do this or that. Literally it’s just a matter of popping in the DVD and following the instructions. Because the program was created by someone who actually knows what MMA conditioning is all about, it’s as close as you’ll get to the conditioning of an MMA athlete without becoming one.
