4 Exercise Regimens You Can Do at Home

Working out from home can truly be a challenge with all the distractions you can encounter. Instead of exercising, you may just choose to watch television or browse the contents of your fridge or read a book. P90X

It is a 90-day training program that combines periodization, cross-training, and nutrition plans. P90X2 focuses on muscle integration by performing resistance training on unstable platforms. On the other hand, P90X3 is a mixture of various routines, including, yoga, Pilates, plyometric, and mixed martial arts, among others.

The techniques in the P90X program are done six days a week. In the series of DVDs, several techniques are demonstrated, with moves that have low to high intensity levels. They also include a fitness test, fitness plan, calendar, and nutrition guide. The equipment you’ll be using are push-up handles, heart rate monitor, resistance bands, yoga mat, yoga blocks, dumbbells, pull-up/chin-up bar, and body fat tester. The nutrition plan consists of three parts: 1) lower carbohydrates and higher protein, 2) Increase of carbohydrate percentage, and 3) another carbohydrate increase.

INSANITY

It is a 60-day workout plan that was developed by Shaun T. The regimen focuses on maximum interval and strenuous stamina training. In this method, the person will be doing a vigorous exercise for three to four minutes, and then rest for 30 seconds before continuing with the process. Unlike the Power 90 Extreme however, no equipment or weights are needed to perform this workout.

The total body workouts include: fit test, plyometric circuit, power and resistance, cardio recovery, pure cardio, interval circuit, interval plyo, max cardio conditioning, and max recovery. The areas in the body that it targets are the legs, glutes, back, arms, and core. It is also designed to improve flexibility, improve cardiovascular fitness, lose body fat, and strengthen muscles. Insanity however, is not recommended to people with metabolic, pulmonary, and cardiovascular diseases, as well as people who are obese or experiencing orthopedic problems.

BODY BEAST

The Body Beast program was developed by Sagi Kalev, a renowned model in the world of fitness and bodybuilding. He is a PROPTA Certified Pro Personal Trainer, as well as a functional medicine expert and a clinical nutritionist. The regimen he created focuses solely on muscle growth, size, and mass, and they guarantee weight gain by following the recommendations for mass gain.

The workout routines differ between its three main blocks: Build, Bulk, and Beast. Build exercises can last for about 40 to 50 minutes, while Bulk exercises can be completed in about 30 minutes only. In these blocks, you will be focusing on the chest, biceps, triceps, legs, and shoulders. The daily training times are short since you will be required to lift heavy weights each day.

As for the Beast block, you will concentrate on complete body workouts, cardio, and abs. In Body Beast, you shall be following a diet and nutrition program as well.

CHALEAN EXTREME

ChaLEAN Extreme is a 90-day circuit course developed by Chalene Johnston to appeal to the female consumers. It is divided into three phases (Burn Circuit, Push Circuit, and Lean Circuit), and each phase will concentrate on high-intensity cardiovascular and weight lifting exercises. In the package, you will also receive ab burner, extreme abs, and fat-burning food guide, among others.

The goal of this whole body workout is for the person to achieve a lean, sculpted, and stronger body. With Burn, you will be required to lift weights for your metabolism to work hard and melt your fat reserves. With Push, you will be building muscles by learning how to safely lift heavy weights. And with Lean, you will learn new dynamic moves and routines to further torch your fats.
